Through the strategic use of technology and new media, NinthBridge builds solutions that connect people, leverage resources, and help nonprofits achieve their missions. In working toward this end, several core principles guide our work:
We share, coordinate and integrate our work with those engaged in similar work in the US and abroad. We have extensive linkages to technology resources around the United States and in each of the countries in which we work, and routinely share our expertise with those who might benefit from it
We hire local talent in each of our locations, provide these staff with ongoing training and support and linkages to their counterparts in other countries
We act as a resource to local programs and small businesses providing technology support, acknowledging their importance to the growth and development of local economies
We believe individuals with a broad skill base are critical to providing the technology support that mission-driven NGOs need. We provide our staff and the staff of other NGOs with tech skills, consulting and planning skills, and knowledge of specific NGO service sectors in which they work
We work closely with various core constituencies, each of which play a critical role in the appropriate and effective use of technology by NGOs:
- Government and private funders in the US, Europe, Asia and Africa concerned with the efficient and effective operation of their grantees
- International NGO communities and the networks of locally-based NGOs working in the fields of health, the environment, humanitarian assistance, human rights, and other fields
- The US-based nonprofit technology support community, including the Circuit Riders and the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN)
- The international ICT community, which includes NGOs, government commissions, task forces and other forums concerned with the empowerment of developing countries through information and communication technologies.
